RESUMEN

The regional industry network (RIN) is a type of financial network derived from industry networks that possess the capability to describe the connections between specific industries within a particular region. For most investors and financial analysts lacking extensive experience, the decision-support information provided by industry networks may be too vague. Conversely, RINs express more detailed and specific industry connections both within and outside the region. As RIN analysis is domain-specific and current financial network analysis tools are designed for generalized analytical tasks and cannot be directly applied to RINs, new visual analysis approaches are needed to enhance information exploration efficiency. In this study, we collaborated with domain experts and proposed V4RIN, an interactive visualization analysis system that integrates predefined domain knowledge and data processing methods to support users in uploading custom data. Through multiple views in the system panel, users can comprehensively explore the structure, geographical distribution, and spatiotemporal variations of the RIN. Two case studies were conducted and a set of expert interviews with five domain experts to validate the usability and reliability of our system.

RESUMEN

Grapes are globally recognized as economically significant fruit trees. Among grape varieties, Thompson Seedless holds paramount influence for fresh consumption and for extensive applications in winemaking, drying, and juicing. This variety is one of the most efficient genotypes for grape genetic modification. However, the lack of a high-quality genome has impeded effective breeding efforts. Here, we present the high-quality reference genome of Thompson Seedless with all 19 chromosomes represented as 19 contiguous sequences (N50 = 27.1 Mb) with zero gaps and prediction of all telomeres and centromeres. Compared with the previous assembly (TSv1 version), the new assembly incorporates an additional 31.5 Mb of high-quality sequenced data with annotation of a total of 30 397 protein-coding genes. We also performed a meticulous analysis to identify nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat genes (NLRs) in Thompson Seedless and two wild grape varieties renowned for their disease resistance. Our analysis revealed a significant reduction in the number of two types of NLRs, TIR-NB-LRR (TNL) and CC-NB-LRR (CNL), in Thompson Seedless, which may have led to its sensitivity to many fungal diseases, such as powdery mildew, and an increase in the number of a third type, RPW8 (resistance to powdery mildew 8)-NB-LRR (RNL). Subsequently, transcriptome analysis showed significant enrichment of NLRs during powdery mildew infection, emphasizing the pivotal role of these elements in grapevine's defense against powdery mildew. The successful assembly of a high-quality Thompson Seedless reference genome significantly contributes to grape genomics research, providing insight into the importance of seedlessness, disease resistance, and color traits, and these data can be used to facilitate grape molecular breeding efforts.

RESUMEN

Guided bone regeneration gathers significant interest in the realm of bone tissue engineering; however, the interplay between membrane thickness and permeability continues to pose a challenge that can be addressed by the water-collecting mechanism of spider silk, where water droplets efficiently move from smooth filaments to rough conical nodules. Inspired by the natural design of spider silk, an innovative silk fibroin membrane is developed featuring directional fluid transportation via harmoniously integrating a smooth, dense layer with a rough, loose layer; conical microchannels are engineered in the smooth and compact layer. Consequently, double-layered membranes with cone-shaped microporous passageways (CSMP-DSF membrane) are designed for in situ bone repair. Through extensive in vitro testing, it is noted that the CSMP-DSF membrane guides liquid flow from the compact layer's surface to the loose layer, enabling rapid diffusion. Remarkably, the CSMP-DSF membrane demonstrates superior mechanical properties and resistance to bacterial adhesion. When applied in vivo, the CSMP-DSF membrane achieves results on par with the commercial Bio-Gide collagen membranes. This innovative integration of a cross-thickness wetting gradient structure offers a novel solution, harmonizing the often-conflicting requirements of material transport, mechanical strength, and barrier effectiveness, while also addressing issues related to tissue engineering scaffold perfusion.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Obesity is associated with an increased risk of multiple extradigestive complications. Thus, understanding the global epidemiology of obesity and its relationship with extradigestive complications, such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is important. However, nutritional intervention can positively manage issues associated with obesity. Hence, the identification of the current high prevalence of extradigestive complications among patients with obesity and the potential role of nutritional interventions is also essential. AIM: To determine the relationship between obesity and extradigestive complications and emphasize the importance of nutritional interventions in the management of patients with obesity. METHODS: Overall, 110 patients with obesity admitted to our hospital from February 2020 to November 2022 and 100 healthy individuals were included in the present study. Information of the study population, including demographic characteristics, such as age, sex, body mass index, indicators of extradigestive complications, dietary intake, and biomarkers was collected. The study design, participant selection, interventions, and development of the nutritional intervention program were described. The collected data were analyzed to assess the effect of nutritional interventions on extradigestive complications. RESULTS: As a part of nutritional intervention, the dietary structure was modified to decrease the saturated fatty acid and cholesterol intake and increase the dietary fiber and polyunsaturated fatty acid intake to improve the blood lipid levels and cardiovascular health. Mechanistic studies showed that these nutritional interventions positively affected mechanisms that regulate lipid metabolism, improved inflammatory markers in the blood, and improved vascular functions. CONCLUSION: The study discusses the consistency of the present results with previous findings to assess the clinical significance of the present findings. The study provides direction for future research on improving nutritional intervention strategies.

RESUMEN

Temperature is one of the most important environmental factors affecting grape season growth and geographical distribution. With global warming and the increasing occurrence of extreme high-temperature weather, the impact of high temperatures on grape production has intensified. Therefore, identifying the molecular regulatory networks and key genes involved in grape heat tolerance is crucial for improving the resistance of grapes and promoting sustainable development in grape production. In this study, we observed the phenotypes and cellular structures of four grape varieties, namely, Thompson Seedless (TS), Brilliant Seedless (BS), Jumeigui (JMG), and Shine Muscat (SM), in the naturally high-temperature environment of Turpan. Heat tolerance evaluations were conducted. RNA-seq was performed on 36 samples of the four varieties under three temperature conditions (28°C, 35°C, and 42°C). Through differential expression analysis revealed the fewest differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between the heat-tolerant materials BS and JMG, and the DEGs common to 1890 were identified among the four varieties. The number of differentially expressed genes within the materials was similar, with a total of 3767 common DEGs identified among the four varieties. KEGG enrichment analysis revealed that fatty acid metabolism, starch and sucrose metabolism, plant hormone signal transduction, the MAPK signaling pathway, and plant-pathogen interactions were enriched in both between different temperatures of the same material, and between different materials of the same temperature. We also conducted statistical and expression pattern analyses of differentially expressed transcription factors. Based on Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA), four specific modules highly correlated with grape heat tolerance were identified by constructing coexpression networks. By calculating the connectivity of genes within the modules and expression analysis, six candidate genes (VIT_04s0044g01430, VIT_17s0000g09190, VIT_01s0011g01350, VIT_01s0011g03330, VIT_04s0008g05610, and VIT_16s0022g00540) related to heat tolerance were discovered. These findings provide a theoretical foundation for further understanding the molecular mechanisms of grape heat tolerance and offer new gene resources for studying heat tolerance in grapes.

RESUMEN

Grapevine powdery mildew is caused by Erysiphe necator, which seriously harms grape production in the world. Stilbene synthase makes phytoalexins that contribute to the resistance of grapevine against powdery mildew. A novel VqNSTS3 was identified and cloned from Chinese wild Vitis quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2. The novel VqNSTS3 was transferred into susceptible 'Thompson Seedless' by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The transgenic plants showed resistance to the disease and activated other resistance-related genes. VqNSTS3 expression in grapevine is regulated by VqWRKY33, and which binds to TTGACC in the VqNSTS3 promoter. Furthermore, VqWRKY33 was phosphorylated by VqMAPK3/VqMAPK6 and thus led to enhanced signal transduction and increased VqNSTS3 expression. ProVqNSTS3::VqNSTS3-GFP of transgenic VqNSTS3 in Arabidopsis thaliana was observed to move to and wrap the pathogen's haustoria and block invasion by Golovinomyces cichoracearum. These results demonstrate that stilbene accumulation of novel VqNSTS3 of the Chinese wild Vitis quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2 prevented pathogen invasion and enhanced resistance to powdery mildew. Therefore, VqNSTS3 can be used in generating powdery mildew-resistant grapevines.

RESUMEN

Importance: Tongxinluo, a traditional Chinese medicine compound, has shown promise in in vitro, animal, and small human studies for myocardial infarction, but has not been rigorously evaluated in large randomized clinical trials. Objective: To investigate whether Tongxinluo could improve clinical outcomes in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Design, Setting, and Participants: Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted among patients with STEMI within 24 hours of symptom onset from 124 hospitals in China. Patients were enrolled from May 2019 to December 2020; the last date of follow-up was December 15, 2021. Interventions: Patients were randomized 1:1 to receive either Tongxinluo or placebo orally for 12 months (a loading dose of 2.08 g after randomization, followed by the maintenance dose of 1.04 g, 3 times a day), in addition to STEMI guideline-directed treatments. Main Outcomes and Measures: The primary end point was 30-day major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCEs), a composite of cardiac death, myocardial reinfarction, emergent coronary revascularization, and stroke. Follow-up for MACCEs occurred every 3 months to 1 year. Results: Among 3797 patients who were randomized, 3777 (Tongxinluo: 1889 and placebo: 1888; mean age, 61 years; 76.9% male) were included in the primary analysis. Thirty-day MACCEs occurred in 64 patients (3.4%) in the Tongxinluo group vs 99 patients (5.2%) in the control group (relative risk [RR], 0.64 [95% CI, 0.47 to 0.88]; risk difference [RD], -1.8% [95% CI, -3.2% to -0.6%]). Individual components of 30-day MACCEs, including cardiac death (56 [3.0%] vs 80 [4.2%]; RR, 0.70 [95% CI, 0.50 to 0.99]; RD, -1.2% [95% CI, -2.5% to -0.1%]), were also significantly lower in the Tongxinluo group than the placebo group. By 1 year, the Tongxinluo group continued to have lower rates of MACCEs (100 [5.3%] vs 157 [8.3%]; HR, 0.64 [95% CI, 0.49 to 0.82]; RD, -3.0% [95% CI, -4.6% to -1.4%]) and cardiac death (85 [4.5%] vs 116 [6.1%]; HR, 0.73 [95% CI, 0.55 to 0.97]; RD, -1.6% [95% CI, -3.1% to -0.2%]). There were no significant differences in other secondary end points including 30-day stroke; major bleeding at 30 days and 1 year; 1-year all-cause mortality; and in-stent thrombosis (<24 hours; 1-30 days; 1-12 months). More adverse drug reactions occurred in the Tongxinluo group than the placebo group (40 [2.1%] vs 21 [1.1%]; P = .02), mainly driven by gastrointestinal symptoms. Conclusions and Relevance: In patients with STEMI, the Chinese patent medicine Tongxinluo, as an adjunctive therapy in addition to STEMI guideline-directed treatments, significantly improved both 30-day and 1-year clinical outcomes. Further research is needed to determine the mechanism of action of Tongxinluo in STEMI. Trial Registration: ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03792035.

RESUMEN

Improving the carbon emission efficiency in the power industry is a crucial step to achieve China's "double carbon" goal. Carbon emission trading (CET) is an important tool for carbon emission reduction in the power industry. This paper collects data on the power industry of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2020 and applies an undesirable super-efficiency epsilon-based measure (EBM) model to measure the total-factor carbon emission efficiency of the power industry (CEEP). A spatial difference-in-differences (SDID) model is constructed to analyze the spatial spillover effects of China's CET on CEEP. Then, a spatial mediating effect model is employed to explore the influence mechanism of CET. The results show that (1) during the sample period, CEEP shows a trend of fluctuating growth, and the overall level of CEEP is still relatively low; (2) CET has a significant promotion effect on CEEP, resulting in an average increase of 6.02% in the efficiency value of the pilot areas; (3) the spatial spillover effect test proves that CET not only improves the CEEP in the pilot areas, but also promotes the improvement of CEEP in the adjacent areas; and (4) the influence mechanism test shows that CET can improve CEEP by reducing energy intensity, promoting technological progress, and upgrading industrial structure. This study provides a new perspective for the measurement of CEEP and expands the research on the emission reduction effect of CET in the power industry. Finally, based on the research results, this study proposes targeted suggestions to provide reference for the government to formulate emission reduction policies.

RESUMEN

Seedless grapes are increasingly popular throughout the world, and the development of seedless varieties is a major breeding goal. In this study, we demonstrate an essential role for the grapevine MADS-box gene VvMADS28 in morphogenesis of the ovule. We found that VvMADS28 mRNA accumulated in the ovules of a seeded cultivar, 'Red Globe', throughout the course of ovule and seed development, especially within the integument/seed coat. In contrast, in the seedless cultivar 'Thompson Seedless', VvMADS28 was expressed only weakly in ovules, and this was associated with increased levels of histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation (H3K27me3) within the VvMADS28 promoter region. RNAi-mediated transient suppression of VvMADS28 expression in 'Red Globe' led to reduced seed size associated with inhibition of episperm and endosperm cell development. Heterologous overexpression of VvMADS28 in transgenic tomatoes interfered with sepal development and resulted in smaller fruit but did not obviously affect seed size. Assays in yeast cells showed that VvMADS28 is subject to regulation by the transcription factor VvERF98, and that VvMADS28 could interact with the Type I/ Mß MADS-domain protein VvMADS5. Moreover, through DNA-affinity purification-sequencing (DAP-seq), we found that VvMADS28 protein specifically binds to the promoter of the grapevine WUSCHEL (VvWUS) gene, suggesting that maintenance of the VvMADS28-VvMADS5 dimer and VvWUS expression homeostasis influences seed development. Taken together, our results provide insight into regulatory mechanisms of ovule and seed development associated with VvMADS28.

RESUMEN

Powdery mildew is an apple disease caused by the obligate trophic fungus Podosphaera leucotricha. Basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factors play important roles in plant development and stress responses, and they have been widely studied in model plants such as Arabidopsis thaliana. However, their role in the stress response of perennial fruit trees remains unclear. Here, we investigated the role of MdbHLH093 in the powdery mildew of apples. The expression of MdbHLH093 was significantly induced during the infection of apples with powdery mildew, and the allogenic overexpression of MdbHLH093 in A. thaliana enhanced the resistance to powdery mildew by increasing the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and activating the salicylic acid (SA) signaling pathway. The transient overexpression of MdbHLH093 in apple leaves increased the resistance to powdery mildew. Conversely, when MdbHLH093 expression was silenced, the sensitivity of apple leaves to powdery mildew was increased. The physical interaction between MdbHLH093 and MdMYB116 was demonstrated by yeast two-hybrid, bi-molecular fluorescence complementation, and split luciferase experiments. Collectively, these results indicate that MdbHLH093 interacts with MdMYB116 to improve apple resistance to powdery mildew by increasing the accumulation of H2O2 and activating the SA signaling pathway, as well as by providing a new candidate gene for resistance molecular breeding.

RESUMEN

Background and Aims: The distal transradial access (dTRA) is a new puncture site for coronary catheterization. We sought to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and complication rates of using the dTRA for cardiac catheterization in Chinese patients. Methods: A total of 263 consecutive patients who underwent catheterization through the dTRA were enrolled. The primary endpoint of the study was the rate of conversion to another access site due to the impossibility of successful artery puncture or intubation. Secondary safety endpoints were the rates of bleeding-related complications and nerve disorders. Results: Among 263 patients, the puncture success rate was 96.2% (253/263). Eleven patients were successfully punctured, but the guide wire was difficult to advance. One patient had intubation failure, and the success rate of intubation was 91.6% (241/263). Two hundred thirty-three patients underwent puncture via the right dTRA, 5 patients underwent puncture via the left dTRA, and 3 patients underwent puncture via the bilateral dTRA. A total of 158 (65.6%) patients underwent coronary angiography, and 83 (34.4%) patients underwent percutaneous coronary intervention. After the procedure, only 2 (0.8%) patients had mild bleeding at the puncture site, 2 (0.8%) had a forearm hematoma, and no patient had a nerve disorder. Conclusions: DTRA has a low incidence of complications, making it a safe and effective technique for cardiac catheterization.

RESUMEN

The fast-growing demand for seedless table grapes has attracted the attention of scientists for the development of new seedless cultivars. Various genes and pathways have been identified which affect seedlessness. However, the detail of the mechanism(s) regulating seedless traits in grape is still unclear, and genes related to seedlessness in grape require further study. Transcriptomic and genomic analyses of Homeobox (HB) transcription factors have suggested the involvement of HB genes, especially of HB-KNOX members, in grape seed development. Here, we functionally characterize VvHB63 gene in grape and report its role in fruit and seed development. VvHB63 showed higher expressions levels in the chalaza and integument of ovules in seedless grapes, than in seeded ones. However, no differences were observed in the sequences of seedless and seeded grape cultivars. In situ hybridization (ISH) analysis showed that VvHB63 gene was expressed in the episperm cells and ovules of 'Thompson Seedless'. Conserved domains KNOX1 and KNOX2 were important for the interaction of VvHB63 with VvHB06. Heterologous over-expression of VvHB63 (35 S::VvHB63-OE) in tomato induced smaller fruits and seeds than in wild type or SlTkn1-KO. The synergistic cooperation between VvHB63 and related proteins play an important role in ovule development.

RESUMEN

The European grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) is one of the world's most widely cultivated and economically important fruit crops. Seedless fruits are particularly desired for table grapes, with seedlessness resulting from stenospermocarpy being an important goal for cultivar improvement. The establishment of an RNA in situ hybridisation (ISH) system for grape berries and ovules is, therefore, important for understanding the molecular mechanisms of ovule abortion in stenospermocarpic seedless cultivars. We improved RNA in situ hybridisation procedures for developing berries and ovules by targeting two transcription factor genes, VvHB63 and VvTAU, using two seeded varieties, 'Red Globe' and 'Pinot Noir', and two seedless cultivars, 'Flame Seedless' and 'Thompson Seedless'. Optimisation focused on the time of proteinase K treatment, probe length, probe concentration, hybridisation temperature and post-hybridisation washing conditions. The objectives were to maximise hybridisation signals and minimise background interference, while still preserving tissue integrity. For the target genes and samples tested, the best results were obtained with a pre-hybridisation proteinase K treatment of 30 min, probe length of 150 bp and concentration of 100 ng/mL, hybridisation temperature of 50 °C, three washes with 0.2× saline sodium citrate (SSC) solution and blocking with 1% blocking reagent for 45 min during the subsequent hybridisation. The improved ISH system was used to study the spatiotemporal expression patterns of genes related to ovule development at a microscopic level.

RESUMEN

Most living organisms require zinc for survival; however, excessive amounts of this trace element can be toxic. Therefore, the frequent fluctuations of salivary zinc, caused by the low physiological level and the frequent introduction of exogenous zinc ions, present a serious challenge for bacteria colonizing the oral cavity. Streptococcus mutans is considered one of the main bacterial pathobiont in dental caries. Here, we verified the role of a P-type ATPase ZccE as the main zinc-exporting transporter in S. mutans and delineated the effects of zinc toxification caused by zccE deletion in the physiology of this bacterium. The deletion of the gene zccE severely impaired the ability of S. mutans to grow under high zinc stress conditions. Intracellular metal quantification using inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer revealed that the zccE mutant exhibited approximately two times higher zinc accumulation than the wild type when grown in the presence of a subinhibitory zinc concentration. Biofilm formation analysis revealed less single-strain biofilm formation and competitive weakness in the dual-species biofilm formed with Streptococcus sanguinis for zccE mutant under high zinc stress. The quantitive reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction test revealed decreased expressions of gtfB, gtfC, and nlmC in the mutant strain under excessive zinc treatment. Collectively, these findings suggest that ZccE plays an important role in the zinc detoxification of S. mutans and that zinc is a growth-limiting factor for S. mutans within the dental biofilm.

RESUMEN

Powdery mildew (PM) is a severe fungal disease of cultivated grapevine world-wide. Proanthocyanidins (PAs) play an important role in resistance to fungal pathogens; however, little is known about PA-mediated PM resistance in grapevine. We identified a WRKY transcription factor, VqWRKY56, from Vitis quinquangularis, the expression of which was significantly induced by PM. Overexpression (OE) of VqWRKY56 in Vitis vinifera increased PA content and reduced susceptibility to PM. Furthermore, the transgenic plants showed more cell death and increased accumulation of salicylic acid and reactive oxygen species. Transient silencing of VqWRKY56 in V. quinquangularis and V. vinifera reduced PA accumulation and increased the susceptibility to PM. VqWRKY56 interacted with VqbZIPC22 in vitro and in planta. The protein VqWRKY56 can bind to VvCHS3, VvLAR1, and VvANR promoters, and VqbZIPC22 can bind to VvANR promoter. Co-expression of VqWRKY56 and VqbZIPC22 significantly increased the transcript level of VvCHS3, VvLAR1, and VvANR genes. Finally, transient OE of VqbZIPC22 in V. vinifera promoted PA accumulation and improved resistance to PM, while transient silencing in V. quinquangularis had the opposite effect. Our study provides new insights into the mechanism of PA regulation by VqWRKY56 in grapevine and provides a basis for further metabolic engineering of PA biosynthesis to improve PM resistance.

RESUMEN

Resveratrol is a phytoalexin that is synthesized by stilbene synthase (STS). Resveratrol in the human diet is known to have beneficial effects on health. We previously identified six novel STS (VqNSTS) transcripts from the transcriptome data of Vitis quinquangularis accession Danfeng-2. However, the functions of and defensive mechanisms triggered by these VqNSTS transcripts remain unknown. In the present study, we demonstrate that the expression of five of these six novel members, VqNSTS2-VqNSTS6, can be induced by the powdery mildew-causing fungus Uncinula necator. Additionally, overexpression of VqNSTS4 in the V. vinifera susceptible cultivar Thompson Seedless promoted accumulation of stilbenes and enhanced resistance to U. necator by activating salicylic acid (SA) signalling. Furthermore, our results indicate that the Alfin-like (AL) transcription factor VqAL4 can directly bind to the G-rich element (CACCTC) in the VqNSTS4 promoter and activate gene expression. Moreover, overexpression of VqAL4 in Thompson Seedless enhanced resistance to U. necator by promoting stilbene accumulation and activating SA signalling. Conversely, RNA interference-mediated silencing of VqNSTS4 and VqAL4 resulted in increased susceptibility to U. necator. Collectively, our results reveal that VqNSTS4, regulated by VqAL4, enhances grapevine resistance to powdery mildew by activating SA signalling. Our findings may be useful to improve disease resistance in perennial fruit trees.

RESUMEN

Botrytis cinerea is a fungus that infects cultivated grape (Vitis vinifera); the identification and characterization of resistance mechanisms in the host is of great importance for the grape industry. Here, we report that a transcription factor in the ethylene-responsive factor (ERF) family (VaERF16) from Chinese wild grape (Vitis amurensis 'Shuang You') is expressed during B. cinerea infection and in response to treatments with the hormones ethylene and methyl jasmonate. Heterologous overexpression of VaERF16 in Arabidopsis thaliana substantially enhanced resistance to B. cinerea and the bacterium Pseudomonas syringae DC3000 via the salicylic acid and jasmonate/ethylene signalling pathways. Yeast two-hybrid, bimolecular fluorescence complementation, and co-immunoprecipitation assays indicated that VaERF16 interacts with the MYB family transcription factor VaMYB306. Overexpression of VaERF16 or VaMYB306 in grape leaves increased resistance to B. cinerea and caused an up-regulation of the defence-related gene PDF1.2, which encodes a defensin-like protein. Conversely, silencing of either gene resulted in increased susceptibility to B. cinerea. Yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase assays indicated that VaERF16 increased the transcript levels of VaPDF1.2 by binding directly to the GCC box in its promoter. Notably, VaMYB306 alone did not bind to the VaPDF1.2 promoter, but the VaERF16-VaMYB306 transcriptional complex resulted in higher transcript levels of VaPDF1.2, suggesting that the proteins function through their mutual interaction. Elucidation of this regulatory module may be of value in enhancing resistance of grapevine to B. cinerea infection.

RESUMEN

Seedlessness is one of the most important breeding goals for table grapes; thus, understanding the molecular genetic regulation of seed development and abortion is critical for the development of seedless cultivars. In the present study, we characterized VvMADS39, a class E MADS-box gene of grapevine (Vitis vinifera) orthologous to Arabidopsis SEP2. Heterologous overexpression of VvMADS39 in tomato reduced the fruit and seed size and seed number. Targeted mutagenesis of the homologous SlMADS39 in tomato induced various floral and fruit defects. It could reasonable to suppose that active VvMADS39 expression in "Thompson Seedless" may restrict cellular expansion, resulting in the development of smaller fruits and seeds, VvMADS39 may play a role in the regulation of ovule development in grapevine and contributes to seedless fruit formation. In contrast, VvMADS39 suppression in "Red Globe" was associated with enhanced histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation in the promoter region of VvMADS39, allowing normal ovule and fruit development; Meanwhile, VvMADS39 interacts with VvAGAMOUS, and the activity of the VvMADS39-VvAGAMOUS dimer to induce integument development requires the activation and maintenance of VvINO expression. The synergistic cooperation between VvMADS39 and related proteins plays an important role in maintaining floral meristem characteristics, and fruit and ovule development.

RESUMEN

Measuring the risks of the carbon financial market is of great significance for investment decision-making, risk supervision, and the healthy development of the carbon trading market. Different from previous studies based on traditional VaR (value at risk), this study measures the integrated risk of China's carbon market based on the Copula-EVT (Extreme Value Theory) -VaR model which can explore the unique strength of the copula and EVT-VaR models, of which the copula model is applied to capture the dependence between the different risk factors of carbon price volatility and macroeconomic fluctuation, while the EVT-VaR is used to explore the risk value. The empirical results show that the traditional VaR that only considers a single risk factor from carbon price volatility is likely to overestimate the risk. In addition, compared with other methods that do not consider the interdependence between risk factors, using the copula function to measure the carbon market integration risk is more effective, and backtesting also confirms this conclusion. This paper provides a specific reference for carbon emission companies to participate in the carbon market. It provides a theoretical basis for the supervision of the risk management of the carbon market.
